Fifty Shades of Grey voted 'most boring film of all time'

A film starring Co Down actor Jamie Dornan has been voted the most boring of all time.

The movie adaptation of the novel 50 Shades of Grey topped a poll of the "most snooze-inducing films".

Others to make the "most likely to send us to sleep" list included The Blair Witch Project and the first Star Wars reboot, The Phantom Menace.

The survey, commissioned by Samsung QuickDrive, found that Brad Pitt appeared most often in the top 20 - starring in three of the films.

A shortlist was collated by a panel of film journalists and put to a vote of 2,000 adults.

Topping the poll of the "most boring movie ever made" was 50 Shades of Grey, which starred Holywood-born Dornan as business magnate Christian Grey alongside Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.

Released in 2015, it was based on the 2011 novel by British author EL James and was billed as an "erotic, romantic, drama".

A third of those surveyed found it the most boring.

American actor Brad Pitt had the unfortunate distinction of starring in three other films in the top 20 - Seven Years in Tibet, The Tree of Life and Meet Joe Black.
