COLLEGE basketball players have been visiting schools to tell pupils how sport has changed their lives.

Students from La Salle University in Philadelphia, who are in Belfast for a tournament, met young people from De La Salle College in the west of the city.

They were joined by students from Sport Changes Life's Victory Scholars programme. These are students who have excelled in their academic work and sport - primarily basketball - in US universities.

Yesterday, the players visited schools between practice sessions to take part in community engagement activities and play basketball with pupils.

The Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic, presented by Sport Changes Life, will take place on December 1 and 2 at the city's SSE Arena.
