A man has been charged with attempted murder following a gun attack that police have linked to a loyalist feud in Larne.

The 30-year-old also faces charges of hijacking and aggravated vehicle taking.

Three children aged 10, seven and three escaped injury after shots were fired at a bedroom window and a car was destroyed.

The man is also charged with attempted burglary, possession of an offensive weapon and criminal damage in connection with incidents in Larne and Antrim in August.

He is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court this morning.

A 30-year-old woman has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice linked to the attack on Monday.

Police said the incident was part of an ongoing loyalist feud in the town. During searches they uncovered two guns in the Millbrook area on Tuesday.
