TIME is running out for the owner of a valuable watch found in Co Down to come forward.

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is hoping to find the owner of the watch, which was found in Portaferry in autumn last year.

It was handed to the crew of the Strangford Ferry and despite efforts by the PSNI and the department, neither the owner of the watch nor the person who handed it in, have been found.

The department is keen to return the watch to its rightful owner.

If it is not claimed by September 30 it will go to public auction and the proceeds will be given to charity.
