MOURNERS gathered yesterday to pay their final respects to an "inspirational" young Belfast man who died just five weeks after receiving a diagnosis of stomach cancer.

Requiem Mass for 29-year-old Aaron O'Neill was celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church in north Belfast.

Mr O'Neill, who worked with some of the world's top film-makers in his career as a sound dubbing mixer, passed away on Monday evening in the Somerton Road hospice after being admitted to hospital in early June.

He had worked on TV hits including The Fall, Line of Duty and Game of Thrones.

His boss at production company Yellowmoon, Greg Darby, said that the "best in film production wanted to work with him".

Mr O'Neill, from Oldpark in the north of the city, was buried in Carnmoney Cemetery.
