Man (61) dies after one-car crash on A1

A man in his fifties has died in hospital after an accident on the Hillsborough Road, PSNI have confirmed.

 A man in his fifties has died in hospital after an accident on the Hillsborough Road, PSNI have confirmed.

A MAN who died in hospital following a road crash in Co Down on Thursday evening has been named as 61-year-old Robert Ferrin.

Mr Ferrin was driving a grey Ford Focus that crashed on the the north bound carriageway of the A1 Hillsborough Road at around 5.40pm.

He was from Belfast.

Police have appealed to anyone who saw the crash or who noticed the car, registration RX17 ECV, travelling north bound close to the Hillsborough flyover to contact officers on 101.
