Pensioner tied up during ‘terrifying' Co Down burglary

A MAN in his seventies has been left badly shaken after he was tied up in an armed burglary at his home in Co Down.
Two men, one armed with a gun, forced their way into the man's house on Banbridge Road in Rathfriland between 7am and 8am on Tuesday.
They tied the pensioner's feet with a belt before making off with cash.
Police said the man was not injured but had endured a "terrifying" ordeal.
One of the men is described as between 20 and 30 years of age, 5'2", of light build, and was wearing dark clothing and a balaclava.
The other is thought to be in his thirties, 6ft tall with a large build, and was wearing dark clothing.
Police appealed for information.
