Winter spice bleach and mulled spice scented loo roll, anyone?

Now your bathroom can smell as delightful as the rest of the house
Andrew Madden

IT used to be that if you wanted your home to smell like Christmas you either lit a scented candle, made some mulled wine or cooked Christmas dinner.

Now you can enjoy the warm, spicy scent all over your home, including the bathroom, thanks to some strategic branding by the supermarket giants.

Supermarket shelves are groaning with Christmas toilet paper. Both Aldi and Asda are selling rolls decorated with everything from reindeers and sleighs to snowmen and snowflakes but Tesco has gone one step further with its luxurysoft mulled spice scented toilet tissue.

Sainsburys, meanwhile, is stocking Winter Spice Bleach.

Marks and Spencer has also got in on the Christmas-jazzling craze and is selling chocolate Brussels sprouts as well as miniature bottles of port wearing tiny festive jumpers.

Finally, it wouldn’t be Christmas without the family pets getting involved. Sainsburys has stocked up on Good Boy Pawsley Chewy Steaks with Turkey & Cranberry and advent calendars specially designed for your furry friends.
