POLICEhave said they are investigating “a number of incidents” arising out of a Twelfth parade in Co Antrim.

Independent councillor Padraig McShane was arrested in the Diamond area of Ballycastle during the march on Tuesday.

He was later released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Video footage showed the Causeway Coast and Glens councillor in an altercation with police after a verbal exchange with Dervock Young Defenders bandsmen.

A spokesman for the PSNI said: “A number of incidents at the parade in Ballycastle are being investigated and it would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.”
