A MAN in his seventies has died after his car struck a tree in Co Fermanagh.

The man was a driving a white Suzuki Celerion car which left the road and struck a tree on Gardiners Cross Road in Tempo shortly after midday on Sunday.

He was taken to hospital where he died a short time later. Two passengers were taken to hospital and have been treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The road was closed for a number of hours but has since re-opened.

Inspector Keir Kitt appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police in Enniskillen or the Collision Investigation Unit in Sprucefield on the non-emergency number 101.
