A HOUSE caught fire overnight after a car was set alight and pushed against the building in an arson attack in Co Armagh.

The residents, a 65-year-old woman and two men aged 65 and 30, escaped the blaze at Elm Park in Richhill.

Several nearby homes were evacuated by police as a precaution while fire crews tackled the blaze in the early hours of this morning.

Police said they are working to establish a motive for the attack, which was reported to the PSNI at about 5.40am.

Detective Constable Colin Robinson said: "We received a report that a vehicle had been set alight in Elm Park.

"The car appeared to have been deliberately pushed up against a house which then also caught fire."
