A MAGHABERRY woman came face-to-face with her favourite celebrity during a surprise visit to the set of The Fall.

Heather Mack (34), a trainee with charity Stepping Stones NI met the Co Down-born actor after two of her bosses resolved to make a long-held dream come true.

The Fifty Shades of Grey star has been in Belfast filming the third series of acclaimed BBC2 crime drama, The Fall, when the visit was hastily arranged by Stepping Stones chief officer Paul Jennings and marketing and business development manager Ciara Brennan.

Paula explained: "I always knew Heather was a massive fan of Jamie and last week, when got chatting, she told me of her dream to meet him.

"I said, 'Then we will make it happen' - not knowing how. It wasn’t until later I heard Jamie was filming in Belfast and then I knew we had to make Heather's dream come true."

The actor, who plays villain Paul Spectre in The Fall, was "delighted" to comply and invited Heather to visit him on set and see the filming.

"It was a real pleasure to invite Heather down to the set of The Fall," he said. "She is a fantastic girl and it was wonderful to meet her."

Heather, a trainee wedding stationery crafter with Stepping Stone's Pink Elephant Card social enterprise business, was, unsurprisingly, "over the moon" at the unexpected invitation.

"I have been a fan of Jamie for a long time but I never imagined my dream to meet him would actually come true," she said. " It was amazing to meet him and I am grateful to everyone who made it happen."

During the visit Heather presented Jamie with a gift of a picture frame for his new baby - due to arrive in the next few weeks - made by trainees at Stepping Stones NI and also a thank you card she had made at Pink Elephant Cards.

Based in Lisburn, Stepping Stones NI operates six social enterprises which serve as a training facility for adults with a learning disability or difficulty.
