FROSTBIT boy Ruairi McSorley is back again - this time with the launch of his own single.

The Co Derry teenager, who became an overnight internet sensation for his description of freezing weather, has today officially launched the track and video for 'The Girl for Me' today.

The launch of the charity single comes exactly one year on from his first appearance on UTV, when he told reporter Gareth Wilkinson "you wouldn't be long getting frostbit" during a clip on the winter weather.

Since then, clips of him have been viewed millions of times on YouTube.

Now Ruairi, a former pupil of Lumen Christi College in Derry, has recorded a comedic track sung in his instantly recognisable accent.

Among the scenes in the music video include the teenager in bed with an older woman, as well as him sitting in Mass and mowing the lawn on a ride-on mower.

Launching the track and video, Ruairi from Park in Co Derry said: "Here it is, after all the big build up te it - this is 'The Girl For Me' official music video.

"Definitley looks and sounds the bit hi, thanks te everybody gave us a hand to make it, and this is only the first video, there’s going te be a wene of spin off singalong versions for anybody can’t understand me as well."

It is part of an album 'Songs for Anna', compiled for Co Down teenager Anna Guest, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of just 14.

She said she wanted to give something back to Brainwaves NI for the care and support they provided to help her get back to health.

All of the songs on the album were written by singer/ songwriter Paddy McBride.
