TICKETS for Adele's four Irish dates have sold out within minutes.

Concerts in Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham as well as four gigs in London also sold minutes after going  on sale at 9am.

Promoters for Glasgow's SSE Hydro said tickets for the 13,000 venue sold out within two minutes.

Touts have taken advantage, offering tickets at inflated prices of up to £609 on unofficial sites.

The Oscar-winning Skyfall singer (27) has now added eight additional shows - four of which are in London, two in Manchester and two in Birmingham - with the advance sales beginning at 9am on Monday.

The singer's 2016 tour will open with two dates in Belfast on Monday February 29 and Tuesday March 1.

She will then travel south to Dublin's 3Arena for two nights on Friday March 4 and Saturday March 5.

There were queues outside the SSE Arena, formerly known as the Odyssey, as fans tried to snap up tickets for the highly anticipated Belfast shows.

Adele's third album 25 has topped the charts across the globe and sold 800,307 copies in the UK in its first week, beating the record previously held by Oasis.
