A Derry woman is to stand trial charged with stealing over £10,000 from Alcoholics Anonymous.
Niamh Bonner (54), of Central Drive in the city, appeared at a preliminary enquiry at Derry Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
She faces two charges of the theft of cash totalling £10,500 from Alcoholics Anonymous in Derry on dates between August 1 2018 and December 1 2019.
She was also charged with one count of abuse of position in that she was in a position where she was supposed to safeguard the interests of Alcoholics Anonymous and she stole cash within the same dates.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
Bonner said she did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
She was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on September 27 and released on bail.
