An 18-year-old man who was involved in a road crash in Co Fermanagh last week has died from his injuries.

Oisin Gregg from Belleek was left in a serious condition following the two-car collision on Friday.

Prayers were said for the teenager over the weekend, but he passed away as a result of his injuries.

The crash, which involved a silver Peugeot 207 sport HDI and blue Honda Accord, happened on the Letterboy Road near Kesh.

A second man also needed hospital treatment for his injuries following the collision.

“A 44-year-old man who was the driver of the Honda, was taken to hospital for injuries not believed to be life-threatening at present,” a PSNI spokesperson said on Saturday.

“Our investigation is now underway to establish exactly what happened.

“We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash-cam footage to contact police on 101.”

Tributes have been paid to Oisin, with Erne Gaels Belleek postponing all club activities as a mark of respect.

The club also said it extended its “heartfelt condolences” to the Gregg family on the “heartbreaking passing of Oisin”.

GAA club, Devenish St Mary’s, also sent its sympathies “following the tragic and untimely death of Oisin”.

“We extend our sympathies to the wider family circle and our thoughts and prayers are with them now and in the time ahead,” the club said.

North Defenders Young Defenders said Oisin had been a drummer with the band for six years.

“It is with deep sadness and regret that we have lost not only a member of our band, but someone we have been lucky enough to call our friend.

“Oisin has been a part of our band since he was 12-years-old, he joined up in October 2017, firstly learning to play the flute & then in June 2018, he decided he wanted to try drumming.

It is with deep sadness and regret that we have lost not only a member of our band, but someone we have been lucky...

“His first ever parade with the band, was at our annual band parade in Kesh on Fri 6th September 2019, his last parade with the band was just earlier this year, at the Easter Monday ABOD parade in Enniskillen.

“We can only thank him for his effort, commitment and also for simply choosing us to share so many memorable times together.

“He will be sadly missed and always remembered by all of his NFYD family.”
