Man charged over Newtownabbey assault

A 37-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged assault at licensed premises in Co Antrim.

The incident was reported to have happened shortly before 9pm on Monday in the Ballyclare Road area of Newtownabbey.

A PSNI spokesperson said the man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and disorderly behaviour in licensed premises.



He is due to appear before Laganside Magistrates’ Court on September 4.
