An anti-immigration protest and an anti-racism protest are set to take place in Belfast city centre on Friday afternoon.

But is public transport effected? Here’s what Translink have said:

Will public transport be disrupted this afternoon by the two Belfast city hall protests?

So far none of Belfast’s bus or rail services have been impacted by events planned for later today.

In a statement to The Irish News on Thursday, Translink said in view of possible traffic disruption on Friday afternoon, it would “liaise closely with the PSNI”.

The utility added: “We will continue to follow their guidance - and any diversionary routes in place.

“Any changes to Translink services will be posted on our social media channels.”

Updates on public transport can be found at Translink’s: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Homepage.
