No further coronavirus related deaths have been recorded, while 88 people have tested positive.

The death toll remains at 2,121 according to the Department of Health.

There are 97 people in hospital with Covid-19 and 12 of them are in ICU with 10 being ventilated.

Coronavirus clusters are present in six care homes.

Bed occupancy in the north's hospitals is at 96%, however, two hospitals are operating over capacity. They are the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald and Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

The rolling seven-day case rate is 29.8 per 100,000 of the population for the dates March 31 - April 6, down from 51.5 in the previous seven days. Derry City and Strabane council area has the highest rate (53.8) while Fermanagh and Omagh has the lowest rate (9.4)

In the same period 561 new cases were reported, down from 969.
