Ambulance chief Shane Devlin leaving after 11 months to head Southern trust

Shane Devlin has served as chief executive of the Ambulance Service for 11 months

THE head of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service is leaving after just 11 months in the post.

Shane Devlin, who was appointed chief executive in December 2016, is to take charge of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.

Formerly director of planning, performance and informatics with the Belfast trust, he will be taking up the role of chief executive in the southern body.
