Mid Ulster District Council is currently considering a planning application that could see a dental practice arrive at a Magherafelt shopping centre.

Lodged on August 3 by McGurk Architects Ltd on behalf of applicant Mr Sean Corry, the application seeks to change the use of a commercial unit in Meadowlane Shopping Centre to a healthcare premises, in this case a dentists.

The application also seeks permission to alter the interior layout and the external elevation of the unit.

According to the application form, the 0.037 hectare site is currently home to an empty commercial unit and any foul sewage collected will be disposed of via the mains.

With the application submitted on and verified on  August 3 it will be advertised until August 31.
