Police are reviewing footage of an incident during which a BBC journalist was confronted and filmed by members of a self-styled paedophile hunter group.
It is believed Kevin Magee, an investigations reporter, was working on a BBC programme at the time.
He was confronted by a group of people who shouted aggressively at him in Belfast city centre on Tuesday evening.
The group followed the reporter out of a coffee shop, where he was to meet one of the paedophile hunters, and along a street while they were also filming him.
Mr Magee took shelter for a time in a shop while the group gathered at the door.
He then left and got into a waiting car, but was unable to leave for a short period after one of the group sat in the road in front of his car.
One of the group can be heard shouting at Mr Magee: "Am I in your personal space Kevin?" followed by: "Not so nice when the camera is on you, is it?"
A member of the group also comments: "You don't come to my f***in home" followed by, "Do I make myself clear?"
A second video, which is believed to have been filmed prior to the incident on Tuesday, appeared on social media yesterday showing Mr Magee being confronted by a man outside houses.
Mr Magee can be seen recording a piece to camera as a man shouts: "Mr Magee of the BBC, you are sickening".
The BBC reporter then asks the man: "Why don't you give us a justification for what you're doing?"
As Mr Magee walks toward his car, he can be heard saying: "Looks like you're not going to speak to me".
The BBC said: "We can confirm that a BBC NI reporter was caught up in an incident in Belfast city centre. We are unable to provide further comment at this time."
Meanwhile, a PSNI spokesman said: "Police are aware of the footage from last night’s incident. It will now be reviewed to establish whether any offences have been committed".
