FIREFIGHTERS were last night called to a reported explosion at a power station in Derry.
A command team, along with four pumps and aerial unit were sent to Lisahally Biomass Power Plant.
The Fire Service was notified of the incident at 7.31pm yesterday evening.
A spokesperson for Fire & Rescue Service was unable to confirm how serious the incident was or whether there was anyone inside.
The heat, power and biomass power plant was built on a 10-acre green field site near Derry Port in 2014.
It houses boiler and turbine buildings, a 33kv substation and storage for a range of equipment, as well as stack, transformers, conveyors, fans and silencers.
