Man charged over north Belfast explosives find

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with an explosives find after searches were carried out in the New Lodge area of north Belfast on Thursday (July 14).

The man will appear in Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday charged with the possession of explosives with intent to endanger life.

A number of addresses in the area were searched in an operation with army technical officers also deployed.

A 29-year-old woman arrested in the same operation has been released pending a report to the PPS.
