PSNI investigate sudden death in east Belfast

POLICE launched an investigation yesterday over the sudden death of a man in east Belfast.

The man was found during the early hours of yesterday morning on My Lady's Road.

Police cordoned off the area as forensic teams carried out examinations in a bid to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.

Investigations appeared to focus on an alleyway to the rear of homes with several people in forensic suits called to the scene.

A PSNI spokesman yesterday said: "Police are currently at the scene of a sudden death of a male found during the early hours of this morning on My Lady's Road in east Belfast.

"We are currently investigating the circumstances of the death."
