A MAN knocked down near Doagh in Co Antrim remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The pedestrian was hit by a car on the Burn Road in the early hours of Sunday.

A spokesman for the Royal Victoria Hospital yesterday said the man remained critical.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old woman was last night in a stable condition in the same hospital following a road crash in Co Tyrone.

Police came across the young woman, who had come off her Black Honda motorcycle on the Clanabogan Road, near Omagh, at around 1.30am on Friday.

In a separate incident, a 21-year-old male motorcyclist was injured when his green-coloured Peugeot motorcycle was involved in a collision with a silver-coloured Mercedes car at Donegall Park Avenue in Belfast at around 9.45pm on Thursday. He also remains in a stable condition in the Royal Victoria Hospital.
