Underground cannabis factory uncovered in Co Derry
AN underground cannabis factory containing drugs worth up to £60,000 has been uncovered by police in Co Derry.
A total of 120 cannabis plants were seized following searches of premises on the Moneysharvin Road, Maghera on Tuesday.
Two men aged 22 and 47 were arrested and later released on bail in connection with the find, which police said followed a vehicle check in Coleraine on Sunday.
Detective Sergeant Kelly Gallagher said searches "uncovered an underground cannabis factory contained within three containers that had been dug into the ground".
