Former Irish presidents will speak about war in Ukraine during Late, Late Show appearance tonight

FORMER presidents Mary Robinson and Mary McAleese are guests on RTÉ's The Late, Late Show tonight where they will talk about the war in Ukraine.

RTÉ Europe Editor Tony Connelly, who saw at first-hand how Kyiv was turned overnight into a city of terror where confusion and panic reigned following the Russian invasion, is also among the guests.

He will discuss the scenes he witnessed on the streets of the city while broadcasting from a bunker where parents and children sought refuge.

Singer Dolly Parton and best-selling author James Patterson will also join host Ryan Tubridy from Nashville, Tennessee to talk about their new novel 'Run Rose Run'.

They will also be discussing why they are both extremely passionate about encouraging children to read from a young age.

The show will also have music from Dublin pop artist Aimée who will perform her newest single 'Nobody Else'.

The Late Late Show will be broadcast on RTÉ One at 9.35pm tonight.
