Cheryl Baker eliminated from Dancing On Ice

She lost out to Donna Air in the skate-off.

Cheryl Baker said she knew she was the worst skater in the show as she was eliminated from Dancing On Ice.

The Bucks Fizz singer, 63, received her marching orders during Sunday night’s instalment of the ITV competition.

Baker and her professional partner Daniel Whiston had found themselves in the bottom two alongside presenter Donna Air and her professional partner Mark Hanretty.

But after the skate-off, judges Jason Gardiner, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean unanimously agreed that Air was the better skater and deserved to stay in the competition.

Baker said of her final skate: “I loved it! I sang all the way through it!”

She added: “I know I am the worst skater, I know that.

“But I have had the best time.”

Air looked relieved as she was told she would be back on the ice.

It was also a good night for Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton, who made it through despite fracturing two ribs during training this week, and singer Lemar, who avoided the skate-off for the first time.

The series has returned after a four-year hiatus, with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby back as presenters.

Baker was the fourth person to leave the competition after Candice Brown, Stephanie Waring and Perri Shakes-Drayton.
