Cruise followed his first post with another, a picture of himself from the film in which he clung to a helicopter.

He said: “We’ve upped the ante for the sixth #MissionImpossible. I can’t wait for you guys to see more.”

The official Mission: Impossible Instagram account shared Cruise’s post along with the caption: @TomCruise just joined Instagram in the best way: by revealing the title of the new #MissionImpossible movie.”

The 55-year-old actor was recently seen shooting scenes for the new blockbuster in London.

Traffic was halted on Blackfriars Bridge and boats kept from the area while the shoot took place two weeks ago.
