Chelsea fan, 11, delighted after impromptu kickabout with Willian
A young Chelsea fan was left “ecstatic” after an impromptu kickabout with Brazilian star Willian during a visit to Stamford Bridge.
A video posted on Facebook showed 11-year-old aspiring footballer Daniel McGee casually kicking a ball about with the Chelsea star after he approached him with a ball.
The family had travelled to London from Co Tyrone in Northern Ireland for Daniel’s first game, staying at the football ground’s hotel.
Daniel is also a young Gaelic footballer with the Aghaloo O'Neils GFC near Aughnacloy.
Having already received a quick handshake from star midfielder Eden Hazard, the 11-year-old ran to Brazilian Willian for an autograph, and then found himself playing keepy-uppy with one of his idols.
Describing the exchange, Daniel’s mother Bernie said: “Daniel asks for an autograph… I’m busy getting the camera ready so I can’t hear properly, but I just see Willian turn his back on Daniel and I think ‘oh no!!’
“But he actually said, ‘Do you want to play?’ And that’s how it happened really. I hit record then.
“I think we are still in shock! I don’t think its sunk in with him,” she added.
The Aghaloo club also posted the video online and said: "Chelsea player Willian sharing his skills with our own star Daniel McGee. Apparently Daniel asked the Brazilian if he wanted to play for Aghaloo."
Chelsea are in fourth place in the Premier League after a 2-2 draw with Burnley saw them squander the opportunity to overtake Tottenham.
