One of the capsules in the London Eye is getting a bit of a makeover, and we don’t just mean a lick of paint.
We’re talking being transformed into a luxurious rainforest-themed hotel room – for one night only, mind.
Thanks to a competition called Eye Spy a Home in the Sky from TripAdvisor Rentals and Wayfair, the pod will be transformed overnight on March 30 into glass house in the sky. And it will be complete with a rooftop garden for views over the whole of the city.
While we’re not always that forgiving of people boasting about their holidays on Instagram, this stay would definitely be deserving of a post or 10 – the competition winners will be the first ever people to spend the night inside the famous tourist attraction. One to tell the grandkids, hey?
While we’re *so* up for a sleepover in the London skyline, we do have a couple of questions – like, does the Eye move while you’re sleeping? Because waking up suddenly in the night could make you feel all kinds of dizzy…
But at the same time, we’re sure the sights would make up for it.
FYI, the prize also includes three nights staying on the ground, in a nearby TripAdvisor rental.
TripAdvisor Rentals spokesperson Laurel Greatrix said: “To have a rental in such an iconic landmark is an extension of what TripAdvisor Rentals can offer travellers every day, whether it’s a glamorous beach house, a downtown flat, a tiny home or a treehouse in the jungle.”
