The annual Wife Carrying Race has taken place again in Dorking, Surrey – the 10th instalment of the competition.
The competition asks husbands to carry their wives through an obstacle-strewn course, with the fastest time deciding the winner.
Rather than give you a report on the race though, we thought what better way to illustrate the annual symbol of teamwork in marriage than gather some wise words said about the age-old institution – enjoy!
Inspirational. Rarely have wiser words been spoken…
You’re probably wondering who won the race too. Well that accolade went to Jack Mckendrick and his partner Kirsty Jones from North Wales – who had a beer keg to take home for their troubles.
Well done you two!
