TV PERSONALITY Graham Norton has revealed some of his more interesting experiences after using the dating app Tinder.

Speaking to Ray D'Arcy, the 55-year-old from west Cork, who was previously quoted as saying "Tinder is full of broken people", told the RTÉ Radio 1 host: "I felt very bad saying that.

"I also met some very nice people on Tinder. It's a great thing. What I like about it is there is so much trust involved - the fact that you are going to go and meet a complete stranger and you both assume that neither of you has got a gun in your bag. It makes you feel better about the world."

Mr Norton described a date he went on where the man seemed "sweating and shaking nervous" before revealing that his flatmate was a journalist for the Daily Mail.

"He had obviously been given a list of questions by his flatmate to try and work in.

"He'd suddenly go 'Have you ever presented your chat show drunk?'

"I found him endearing because he was so bad at it."

Mr Norton is currently promoting his second novel, A Keeper.
