THE sporty-trimmed N Line versions of Hyundai's striking new Tucson family SUV have gone on sale.

Petrol and mild-hybrid models arrive first, with hybrids and plug-in hybrids arriving due to come later.

Priced from £31,110, the N Line range opens with a 1.6-litre 148bhp petrol engine and a six-speed manual gearbox.

It climbs to £37,065 for a N Line S with a 178bhp mild-hybrid petrol engine, seven-speed double-clutch automatic gearbox and four-wheel-drive.

A different grille and light treatment, black trim and various spoilers and pieces of sporty trim help set the N Line apart from its Tucson brethren.

Inside are sport seats upholstered in black suede and leather and with red stitching.

There's a different steering wheel, too, a black headliner and metal pedals.

N Line trim includes heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, parking sensors, a 'smart key', wireless charging pad and ambient interior lighting.

N Line S models add three-zone climate control, a tilt-and-slide electric panoramic roof, electric tailgate, a heated steering wheel, an upgraded audio system and extra safety kit.
