PEUGEOT has revised prices of its electric e-2008 models to make sure buyers can take advantage of the government's plug-in car grant.
This has been cut from £3,000 to £2,500 and now applies to cars costing less than £35,000. Previously the cut-off point was £50k.
To keep the majority of e-2008 models eligible for the grant scheme, Peugeot has cut the price of Active Premium, Allure and Allure Premium trims by £450.
It means their on-the-road prices are respectively £33,230, £34,430 and £34,880, which falls to £30,730, £31,930 and £32,380 once the grant is applied.
The range-topping GT and GT Premium models don't fall within the grant scheme. They are priced at £37,180 and £39,180 respectively.
