THE limited edition ‘Fury’ version of Isuzu’s D-Max has reached Northern Ireland dealers earlier than expected, meaning the premium pick-up could be sold out before Christmas.

The Fury nameplate has been used before on high-specification D-Max models, but Isuzu says the latest version is the best finished yet.

Upgrades include an exclusive head-turning ‘magma red’ paint finish, 18-inch gunmetal grey alloy wheels and a radiator grille with the Isuzu badge also detailed in red.

The heated folding electric door mirrors, as well as the door and tailgate handles, are a bright gloss black.

Other equipment includes air conditioning, a reversing camera, a seven-inch multifunction colour touchscreen, CD player, and front and rear USB ports.

The standard cloth upholstery with dark grey interior has red overstitching on soft pad armrests and steering wheel, and comes complete with Fury branded carpet mats.

Distinctive two-tone black and red leather upholstery can also be ordered as an optional upgrade, and Isuzu offers a bunch of accessories to further personalise the pick-up.

Meanwhile, the Fury benefits from features found on all of the latest D-Max models.

This includes newly redesigned rear suspension, which not only reduces unsprung weight by 10kg but also makes the ride smoother.

Trailer sway control, hillstart assist and hill descent control also feature, as does a hefty 3.5 tonnes towing capacity.

The Fury can be ordered with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox, which is paired to the company’s latest 1.9-litre diesel engine.

Isuzu manufactures more diesel engines than any other company globally, and this expertise manifests itself in the fact that the D-Max needs no AdBlue additive and has a range of maintenance and cost advantages over competitors.

The D-Max has a 125,000 mile/five-year warranty and comes with five-year roadside assistance across the UK and Europe.

  • Isuzu D-Max demonstrator models are available now at: John Barr Cars, Crumlin; Eakin Brothers, Claudy; Western Cars, Enniskillen; Gormley Motors, Dungannon; and Desmond Eastwood Motors, Lisburn.
