ST GEORGE'S Market in Belfast is set for two special 'late night openings' next week with the return of its Twilight Market.

First held in November of last year, Belfast City Council are bringing the event back for a two night stand next Tuesday (5pm to 11pm) and Wednesday (12 noon to 11pm), allowing shoppers and visitors more time to enjoy the selection of pop-up restaurants, local food producers, chef demonstrations, live music and DJs.

"We were delighted with the response to our first Twilight Market," comments Arder Carson, Belfast's mayor.

"Indeed, it has been shortlisted for a Northern Ireland Tourism award.

"Next week, we’ve got even more foodie traders exhibiting, we’ve got some of our best local craftspeople and we’ve got top chefs giving us inspiring cookery demonstrations."

While the market will be restricted to over-18s after 9pm, there will be family friendly events on offer on Wednesday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm, including face painting and a 'chocolate workshop' from Aunt Sandra's Candy Factory.
