A call to prayer in response to the proposed liberalisation of Northern Ireland's abortion laws drew thousands of Christians to Belfast on Tuesday night.
St Anne's Cathedral was packed to capacity, with hundreds more filling its steps and spilling on to Donegall Street.
The event, called 'For the Soul of the Nation', was endorsed by a host of Christian organisations including CARE in Northern Ireland, Christian Medical Fellowship, CVM Ireland, Interdenominational Divine Healing Ministries, Drop Inn Ministries, Ellel Ministries Ireland, Evangelical Alliance NI, Healing the Land, House of Prayer Ireland, Stauros, Transformations Ireland and 24-7 Prayer Ireland.
Fergus McMorrow of Interdenominational Divine Healing Ministries said Parliament's decision to change abortion and marriage legislation "have the potential to affect Northern Ireland for generations to come".
"We, the Church, have a responsibility and are held accountable for our actions," he said.
"Now is a vital time for us to stand together united in prayer."
A further event is taking place tomorrow, with a silent march at Stormont at 7pm.
On Saturday at 2pm, a 'March For Their Lives' will be held at Custom House Square in Belfast.
