New Hennessey Venom F5 hypercar has an even bigger bite

HYPERCAR specialists Hennessey are about to unveil their new track-focused model, the Venom F5 Revolution Coupe.

Based on the Texan outfit's 300mph-plus Venom F5 Coupe, the F5 Revolution is powered by the same 1,817bhp, 6.6l twin-turbocharged V8 but has been comprehensively re-engineered with the track in mind: the F5 Revolution is lighter and features enhanced aerodynamics, suspension and engine cooling, plus digital telemetry.

You'll be able to tell the two models apart at a glance thanks to the new car's full-width adjustable carbon fibre rear wing and more aggressively styled rear diffuser. The F5 also features a larger carbon fibre front splitter to help maximise downforce, a roof scoop that channels fresh air to the engine bay and new larger forged alloy wheels offering improved grip in the corners.

"The new Venom F5 Revolution Coupe combines our outstanding 1,817 bhp V8 'Fury' combustion engine with our lightest and most capable chassis," explains company founder John Hennessey.

"The hypercar, which is astoundingly fast, is at home on a racing circuit where utmost handling is paramount – it offers the nimbleness of a fighter jet, yet with a powerplant like a Saturn V rocket."

Hennessey’s Chief Engineer John 'Heinrocket' Heinricy agrees: "I led engineering on some of the most extreme cars to come out of GM, including the Corvette Z06 and Cadillac CTS-V, but nothing compares to designing, developing, and refining a race car for the road like the Venom F5 Revolution.

"From the outset, we designed the Venom F5 hypercar to be ultra-light and monstrously powerful, with dynamics to match. So, taking these ingredients and adding track-focused aerodynamics, suspension, and gearing, enabled us to create a machine that is the ultimate visceral and emotional driving experience."

The track-targeted Venom F5 Revolution Coupe is the third model to join the Venom F5 family: the original Venom F5 coupe sold out in 2021, while an open-topped roadster variant joined the F5 coupe in 2022.

The Venom F5 Revolution will debut on January 15 at the Miami Motorcar Cavalcade Concours d'Elegance in Florida. Just 24 examples will be produced, each priced at a cool $2.7m.
