KIA has just introduced a new Maxx version of its Soul EV, replacing the existing First Edition variant available since the car's launch.
Available for customers to order now, the Soul EV Maxx is available from £34,945 on-the-road, making it eligible for the government's £2,500 Plug-in Car Grant which reduces the purchase price to £32,445.
Effectively an update of the First Edition spec, the Maxx features the new Kia logo inside and out and standard equipment including 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels, black leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The Soul EV Maxx features the same long-range 64kWh lithium-ion battery pack as before, delivering an impressive range of 280 miles on a single charge (WLTP, combined), and comes covered by Kia's standard seven-year/100,000 mile warranty.
The Maxx is available in two new metallic paint colour options, standard single-tone Snow White Pearl and two-tone Inferno Red body with Black roof (£575), in addition to the pre-existing two-tone premium paint options of Quartz Black with Red and Neptune Blue with Black.
With over 900 cars sold in the UK so far this year, the Soul EV is one of three fully electric models now offered by Kia alongside its e-Niro electric crossover and the new EV6.
First customer deliveries of the Soul EV Maxx are expected throughout the autumn.
