Mirabeau Forever Summer 2019, South of France, £9.50, Sainsbury's

A pretty, pale-pink, lower-alcohol vegan rosé, which draws you in with its nose of red summer fruits of cherry, raspberry and strawberry. Red berry flavours combined with hints of ripe melon and dried cherry make for a wine with a juicy character with fresh acidity flowing throughout. It's elegant on the palate and a great food companion. It certainly lives up to its name – summer in a glass.

Rosé: Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie, £4.29, Lidl

With summer rosés flooding the market at upward of £30 a bottle, this example has hit the right note with shoppers on taste and value. This light, clean and fruity wine features delicate strawberry aromas and is the perfect thirst quencher on a warm summer's day, without breaking the bank. Pinot Grigio is ideal if you are looking for a simple, dry wine – this fits the bill perfectly. Enjoy with salads and cold meats or on its own.

Casillero del Diablo Rosé 2019, Chile, currently £6 until June 8 (was £8), Tesco

A warm-weather wine that looks as good as it tastes. With hints of blackberry leaf and spice, there's ample raspberry, black fruits and a nice taste of watermelon keeping it fresh with a good structure and crisp finish. A lovely style to chill out in the garden with – pouring a glass of this coppery pink rosé is a pleasure.
