- JANUARY is the most popular time of year for making a holiday booking and consumer website www.moneysavingexpert.com has compiled a list of codes to shave a few pounds off your trip to the sun. They change periodically but at the time of going to print, discounts included £150 off a £1,000 long-haul package holiday from Tui or First Choice; £100 off a spend of £800 or more on selected Thomas Cook bookings; £100 off bookings costing £1,500 or more from Expedia; and others for Lastminute.com and Jet2holidays. Various restrictions apply so check the guide for full details and the latest additions. Browse through the website to find the full list or go straight to https://tinyurl.com/y87w8stn.

- Is your new year's resolution to get fit? Until January 17, PureGym is offering a three-day pass for free (limited to one per person). Browse through www.puregym.com for full terms and conditions or go straight to https://tinyurl.com/y74m3g3g.

- If you prefer the great outdoors to the gym, parkrun offers a free 5k timed run or walk - or push, if you're a wheelchair user - with other parkrunners in pleasant surroundings every Saturday morning. Register at www.parkrun.org.uk, then print your barcode and bring it with you to be scanned so that your time is recorded, no matter which of the participating locations you choose.

- Get three months of Amazon Kindle Unlimited for £1.99 instead of the usual £7.99 per month by signing up at https://tinyurl.com/ybdhayqp. The service offers access to more than one million books, including thousands with Audible narration, and a rotating selection of popular magazines on any device with the Kindle app. You must sign up before 11.59pm on January 31. Existing Unlimited subscribers are not eligible. After the trial period ends, your credit card will be charged £7.99 per month unless you cancel (although you can do that straight away - the offer page explains how).

- The Dyson V6 Trigger cordless handheld vacuum cleaner is less than half price (down from £219.99 to £99.99) at Argos. To order for home delivery or in-store collection, go to www.argos.co.uk/product/5459649. No end date for the offer is listed on the site.

- Shrove Tuesday is February 13 this year and Iceland has a pancake kit offer with everything you need for just £5 in store. You get a frying pan, pancake mix, Fry Light, lemon juice and maple syrup.

- The code EXTRA20 gives you an additional 20 per cent off sale prices at Urban Outfitters when you order via the website www.urbanoutfitters.com.
