BELFAST Brian McGeown is due to arrive in his home town tomorrow after completing 10 marathons in five days to support five charities and to raise awareness of men's mental health.
Having set himself the challenge of running 262 miles in five days, Brian set off from Middleton, Cork on Sunday.
The main beneficiary of the funds he hopes to raise via the venture will be suicide awareness charity PIPS. Brian said he hoped to help dispel the notion among young men that it's ‘weak’ to discuss your emotions and feelings.
“This will be the toughest personal challenge I've ever set myself," he said.
Other charities benefiting from the run include Mencap, the Children’s Heartbeat Trust, Barretstown and the Makaton Charity.
