A COUNTY Armagh engineering company has teamed up with Europe's oldest specialist makers of agricultural toys and collectibles to launch two new in-scale trailers.

NC Engineering is one of Northern Ireland’s largest manufacturers of industrial and agricultural equipment, producing a wide range of award-winning farming implements including trailers, pumps, tankers and manure spreaders.

Following the success of the replica NC Roadside Slurry Tanker four years ago, they have once again joined forces with farm toy replica brand Britains to produce an in scale model of the NC Rear Discharge Muckspreader and the 300 Series Dump Trailer, complete with working magic tail door system.

Britains who have been making farm toys for more than 95 years, offers a full range of diecast farm models including tractors, implements, vehicles and accessories.

The new NC models are available from July 15, priced £19.99 each. With a functioning slurry door that can be opened and closed, the replica muckspreader is an essential implement for any young carpet farmer.

The NC Dump Trailer, compatible with all Britains 1:32 scale tractors is unique in that its spring draw bar and rear door means the trailer can be used with a tail door or open back without having to remove a hinged door.

The accuracy, detail and realism of these models make them popular with all ages.

"We know collectors want these items because they are such accurate replicas," explains Pedro Sousa, brand manager.

"Depending on the complexity of the machine, the models can take 12 to 18 months to develop, working closely with the local manufacturer and from the machines original engineering CAD drawings."

A number of excited children were present at last week's launch and Pedro is confident the new products will be top of many children's Christmas wish-list.

"Kids want the machines because they see the real ones on farms and want to play farming with the same high quality items."
