YOUNG film enthusiasts are being invited to take on the role of ‘film consultants’ for Cinemagic in Belfast this July.

The annual scheme will help organisers to programme a series of films for the Cinemagic international children's film festival, which will take place from October 6 to 29. Participants will work with the Cinemagic team in Belfast to help steer the choice of films for the festival.

Chris Shaw, Cinemagic programmer says: “The young film consultants will have the opportunity to watch and review international films guided by the team and there will be lots of discussion and debate around programming.”

If you know a budding film critic who would enjoy the opportunity to spend time with Cinemagic, this is a chance to meet other like-minded young people and work for the largest film festival for young people in Ireland and Britain.

The Cinemagic Festival is funded by Northern Ireland Screen, supported by the Department for Communities, and Belfast City Council.

The Cost is £10; to register download the registration form from cinemagic.org.uk and email it to claire@cinemagic.org.uk.
