Co Down online retailer COSIMAC, which sells specialist outdoor robes and accessories, was established by Angela Skarmoutsos and Richard Sweeney in early 2021.
A relatively new yet ambitious company, it has exciting growth plans for 2022.
Its significant growth in sales, particularly international sales, is partly due to the firm shifting its online operation to the IRP e-commerce trading platform and now regularly ships to France, the Netherlands and the US.
“We moved to the IRP e-commerce trading platform late 2021 to raise international brand awareness, whilst continuing to build our brand in Ireland and the UK. Being on the IRP gives us the tools to reach out beyond our current market. The ease of the platform is to perform and market effectively to countries outside Ireland and the UK was one of the big selling points for us,” says joint business owner, Ms Skarmoutsos.
“Another reason for our partnership with IRP Commerce is because we wanted to move away from the costly and ever increasing ‘plug-ins’ our previous platform required, resulting in a poor performing e-commerce site.

The COSIMAC team has a lot of daily tasks and responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of a flourishing e-commerce business.
The IRP platform has removed the admin headache and freed up their time to focus on growing its sales.
“Our team was given personal training and further IRP accreditations are available for each member of staff, allowing for effective professional development for a small, ambitious team. IRP’s multichannel approach allows us to manage our e-commerce site through one effective system.”
