DIGITAL innovation industry leader Liberty IT has launched a recruitment drive for 70 new student roles, with a mix of placement and graduate places available in both Northern Ireland and the Republic.

There is a key focus this year on associate software engineers for graduates and intern software engineers for those seeking placements, with multiple start dates in line with university term-times.

Supporting the leader in innovation’s continued period of growth, the roles are available across Ireland and each successful applicant will have the opportunity to choose their own working-style – office, remote or hybrid.

The successful graduates and interns will join the company in 2023, beginning with a comprehensive training programme covering technical and professional skills, followed by working in teams across different business areas.

Applications are open at https://www.liberty-it.co.uk/ until Monday October 31.

Emma Mullan, senior director of talent at Liberty IT, said: “We are delighted to launch our student recruitment campaign for 70 new roles. Part of our ongoing growth at Liberty IT, this reflects our annual commitment to hiring and investing in the best students from across our universities.

“A student placement or graduate role with us is hands-on. We empower our students to take control of their careers, with access to comprehensive learning and development opportunities, all within our culture of engineering and innovation, community engagement, social events and wellbeing.

“I would encourage anyone interested to visit our website, talk to our people and find out more about what makes Liberty IT such a great place to work.”

Shannon Clarke, intern software engineer, added: “I joined Liberty IT as an intern a few months ago and I'm having a great experience so far. I've settled into my team well with the help of my buddy and I've already learnt so much in such a short space of time. The application process was very straightforward and easy to engage with. I would definitely recommend applying for an opportunity here.”

As part of the recruitment drive, teams from Liberty IT are visiting career fairs and hosting watch parties with universities in Northern Ireland and the Republic.

A YouTube playlist has been created and covers all the key topics current students want to know about including the videos feature current employees walking through the recruitment process, providing insights and tips on applying and sharing what it’s like to work at Liberty IT.
