THE rooftop bar of a popular Belfast city centre hotel destroyed by fire earlier this year, has reopened following a £1 million refit.

The Bullitt hotel’s Babel cocktail bar, which is part of the Beannchor hospitality group, was engulfed by the accidental blaze in March.

Following an extensive refit, the rooftop venue reopened on Friday night as Tetto, which has adopted an Italian theme.

Beannchor’s managing director, Conall Wolsey, said that faced with significant restoration work in the wake of the fire, the group decided to completely renovate the entire rooftop bar, garden and restaurant.

“During the seven-month closure, we invested £1m and have given Tetto a completely new design and feel with a carefully curated food and drink menu to match its modern vibe.”

The hospitality boss described Tetto as a bright, modern, design-led venue, which will open Wednesday to Sunday, with resident DJs each weekend and garden parties throughout the year.

“The whole team’s jobs were protected throughout this closure along with creating a number of new full-time position,” added Mr Wolsey.

“We are delighted to have everyone back and ready to welcome customers through the doors of Tetto.”
