REGIONAL carrier Flybe is adding new routes and increasing frequency on some services from Belfast City Airport this winter.

It will fly to 12 destinations when its new schedule commences on October 30, including additional routes and frequencies to and from Birmingham and East Midlands.

And due to high demand, Flybe will continue to offer international flights from Belfast City to Amsterdam, where customers have the option to connect to destinations in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, or Africa.

It comes as the carrier further expands its fleet with Co2-efficient De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 (Q400) aircraft.

Flybe chief executive Dave Pflieger said: “After a successful 2022 launch and summer season, our new winter schedule further enhances affordable connectivity across UK regions, as well as Europe via our popular flights to Amsterdam.”

Belfast City Airport commercial director Katy Best added: “The increase in flights to Birmingham and East Midlands with Flybe is fantastic news for passengers.

“Flybe’s offer of more choice and flexibility, coupled with the convenience of Belfast City airport just five minutes from the city centre, means passengers will enjoy a smooth and hassle-free journey.”
